 Dear Parents,

The third grade teachers would like to ensure that your child reads over the summer.  It is important that they retain skills acquired this year.  Each child needs to choose a minimum of two books from the list below.  Students must read and write a one paragraph retell summary on the two books.  Third graders are allowed to use these book summaries as part of the A.R. requirement in the fall.  A small prize will be awarded to these students who complete this task.

Your child will still be able to access IXL (math program) and Capstone Library over the summer. Please allow 15 minutes four times per week on IXL.

We are looking forward to a wonderful year with your child.
